WELCOME TO THE NSW BOATING COLLEGE
We are a Registered Training Organisation providing competency based boat training and education.
You can expect friendly and professional training from the NSW Boating College. It is the "personal touch" and dedication to improving safety on the water whilst instilling - confidence, knowledge and good boat handling skills that sets us apart.
Our boat courses covers; the International Collision Regulations, the bouyage systems in Australia, safety equipment you should have aboard, responding to emergencies, navigation and lights.
Obtain your Boat and PWC Licence. Find good reasons for boat training. Gain new boat handling skills or extend your training.
MARINE INDUSTRY STANDARDS
All training is to industry and NMSC guidelines within the Outdoor Recreation Industry Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation.
The units of competency are:

SROYAC001B - Comply with maritime rules and regulations

MEM50.8EA - Carry out trip preparation and planning

MEM50.9AA - Safely operate a mechanically powered recreational boat

MEM50.10EA - Respond to boating incidents and emergencies

SROPWCOO1A - Select and maintain a personal watercraft

SROPWCOO2A - Demonstrate basic skills to ride a PWC in controlled condition
When you successfully complete the training and assessment you'll receive a "Certificate of Satisfactory Completion" which qualifies you for a NSW Maritime general (power-boat) or young adult licence. Once NSW Maritime have issued your licence you'll be ready to take your boat out on the water.
Commencing 1 June 2009 it will be a requirement for NSW General Boat Licence applicants to undergo practical on water training with either a Recognised Training Provider, such as the NSW Boating College, or by keeping log book entries from training with an experienced Skipper.
