ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Founded by Peter and Jo Brazil 6 years ago NSW Boating College pioneered and introduced competency based training into Recreational Boat Licencing in NSW.

Your guarantee of quality training is in the registration, accreditation and auditing process that the NSW Boating College has to comply. All training material is to 'industry training package modules' and the College is a 'Registered Training Organisation' with VETAB-NSW. All trainers are qualified workplace trainers and assessors and experienced commercial Skippers. NSW Boating College is a 'NSW Maritime accredited Safe Boating Course provider'.

The boating "life style"

Whether it's just messing about in boats, fishing, or competing we all appreciate life on the water. Most are aware of the dangers and appreciate how much there is to learn.

Our mission is simple - to bring education and training to boat users, to build confidence, knowledge, skills, and safety awareness among boaties. We believe the more people know the more enjoyable their boating experience will be. All courses have been designed with a strong focus on learning practical boat handling and seamanship skills.

Better marine training is also a stated aim of all Mariners at this College, NSW Maritime, NMSC, AMSA, VETAB, Skills Australia, The Volunteer Rescue Groups, BIA, BOA and many other boating associations.

An investment in family safety, the increasing value of marine assets, combined with the dangers of going to sea are strong motivators for more boat training.

Boat licence venues throughout NSW
The NSW Boating College is based in Sydney with training venues in the Sydney metropolitan area, its surronding environs and regional NSW.
