  • Maintenance, care and stowage
  • Common boating knots and bends
  • Line throwing
  • Fastening of lines on cleats
  • Splicing

Training and assessment

The workshop is derived from training competencies of the SRO03 Sport and Recreation Training Package.

The units of competency is:

MEM50.9AA - Safely operate a mechanically powered recreational boat

Course Outcome

On successful completion of the training assessment students will receive a Certificate of Course Completion.
