Hi there, just letting you know that the boating course held in Canberra by Jeff and Sue was very enjoyable and was of a high professional level.I will be advising friends and people I know who have been contemplating on getting their boating license to do their boating license through the NSW Boating College. Thank you.

I have just received my boating licence and I want to say thank you for the invaluable information and advice you have provided, it was worth every dollar.I have now a better appreciation the things I have to keep in mind when boating and more respect for the responsibilities one has on the water.

I just wanted to thank you for Campbelltown training the other week. It was needed!!! I set out from Botany Bay & was 6 kms towards the Peak when a 20-30 knot North Westerly started blowing us towards New Zealand. Just some tacking & keeping steerage returned me safely to Botany Heads, however only to be confronted by a 30+ knot headwind and a never ending set of screaming foaming white caps coming straight at me!

Thankfully, your training course was still fresh in mind and we returned safely home with a nice dry boat. At the time I was comforted with the thought that I had paid rigid attention to all of the safety equipment requirements & also your tips on how to handle a boat during surging wave conditions at a bar entrance. Great course guys. I think your boat license course should almost be compulsory.

It is good to see the establishment of this new 'NSW' college, further developing the opportunities for recreational boat training, especially in light of NSW Maritime plans to require everyone who drives a power-boat to have a licence in NSW.

I have reviewed the student notes and find that the new 'NSW Boat License Training' offers substantial basic training for the novice and good reference material. I have granted permission for material and drawings drawn from 'The Australian Boating Manual' to be used in the student notes.

I applaud the idea of practical training for anyone going to sea in a boat. The NSW Boating College Advanced Courses are suitable for Mariners intending to cruise the coast. There is just so much to learn about 'safe boating' in the many different conditions on the Australian Coast and Inland Waterways.

Best wishes in the enjoyment of your water-sports,

Captain Dick Gandy Master Mariner
Author & Compiler 'The Australian Boating Manual'

Just a brief note to thank you for a great course over the weekend. Your approach has provided me with a sound base on which to begin exploring boating with confidence. Thank you and your team for an excellent introduction.

Thank you for the very informative, interesting and enjoyable training session last Saturday. I wished that I had the time to do the 2 day training as I had originally planned - however with work................ I would advise you to encourage novice boaties who are thinking of doing your training to do the 2 day course to learn as much as possible and aid them in their boating endeavours.
