The College is looking to expand into Rural and Coastal areas of NSW. This has become a matter of urgency with the advent of the ONLINE STUDY (October 2006) which qualifies, as all our training does, under the new compulsory safe boating courses as required by NSW Maritime.
The idea is that anyone who attends our training must complete the boat licence test with us. To expand we need trainers in Country centres. We understand from the many calls that we receive that NSW Maritime is sometimes unable to offer training in some locations on a regular basis.
Rural Trainers with this College need to be qualified with a NSW Boat Licence, a Workplace Trainer & Assessor Certificate Level IV, credible boating experience, be reliable and have training experience. A training day in Sydney will be required.
The Country centres will be called agencies where the Trainer may use their home/school or other free rental site to conduct a College Seminar/Test. The Online study is suitable for High School students where the agency can then attend the school to supervise the NSW Maritime Boat Licence Test. Piece rates will be negotiated, returns will be necessary, all on a monthly basis.
Agencies will also be in a position to provide the compulsory safe boating course, a 4 hour seminar and Test on behalf of the college and re-test students who fail.
This opportunity may earn pocket money or evolve into a reasonable earner depending upon the calibre of the persons involved and the location. A resume, copies of documents will be required and the College will process an application for Trainers with the NSW Maritime to become authorised.
