College Principal and Training Director, Jeff Jaunceys maritime career spans over 35 years.He holds current qualifications as a; Coastal Master Class IV, Marine Engineer Class II, Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment , Accredited NSW Maritime Recreational Boat Licencing Trainer and Examiner, trainer and assessor under the commercial Maritime training package for Certificate 1, Cert II Coxswain, Cert III Master V and MED III.
He has held positions with; Sydney Ports as a Tug and Pilot Master, NSW Maritime as a Boating Service Officer, Master and Engineer of large fleet charter vessels, Navy Tug Master at Garden Island, Master Sydney Ferries, Marine Studies teacher at TAFE Ultimo, OTEN and he founded NSWs first boat licence training courses in 1986.
Over the last five years Jeff has trained over 7000 students in marine commercial and recreational boat licence courses.
Jeff's courses cover more than just the basics,they include the "How" and "Why" of boating. "People leave our courses with more than just a certificate that they have passed", says Master Jauncey. They leave carrying with them a lasting understanding and appreciation of boating and the water".
Jauncey adds, "Through the College it's my goal to instill life-long seamanship skills to all enthusiastic boaties".
